Venus Lingerie fashion show video

There are two types of fashion shows. The most common ones are held for buyers and the media. They are primarily business events. Then, occasionally retailers or designers hold fashion shows for consumers. Obviously they are a lot more fun. This lingerie fashion show is from the second category.

Wildcard Fashion clothes

Wildcard Fashion is a relatively new clothing line for both men and women but they do have a great collection that is casual, fun, and playful. I find that their clothes are literally suitable for people of all ages (and shapes) if you pick the right pieces and match them well. Here are three video clips that showcase some of the items from their collection.

Hermes India inspired fashion

Luxury brands are setting up shop in India, Vogue is launching an Indian edition of its magazine, and the fashion week in India was remarkable for its absence of traditional Indian clothes. Even though many wondered if the sari was dead as a preferred outfit, it is interesting that Jean-Paul Gaultier has now created a whole collection for Hermes inspired by the maharajahs (kings) of India. Not bad for one of the poorest countries in the world.

Stella McCartney fashion

Of course it helps to be the daughter of Paul McCartney but you can't survive too long in the world of high fashion if you don't have talent. So if Stella McCartney is thriving, it is for a reason - as her father says, she is "brilliant." This fashion show was yet another testimony to that.

Paris fashion week

It can be overwhelming to following all the fashion weeks but it is nice to follow what is going on Paris. I have to say that Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel did a remarkable job - dresses that are fit for those "power" girl moments. If you are looking for glamorous, red-carpet-ready dresses, pick John Galliano for Christian Dior. Valentino was at his best with yet another set of beautiful clothes. I found designs by Christian LaCroix and Jean-Paul Gaultier fit for a Halloween party (I am not kidding).

Tsumori Chisato dresses

Apart from some great designs from Tadashi Shoji, another Japanese designer Tsumori Chisato has introduced a great collection in Paris. They are not "Japanese" per se but almost all modern Japanese women wear like we do in the west. The dresses are colorful and flirtatious.

Vivienne Westwood latest fashion

There is no other woman like Marilyn Monroe. I don't know how Anna Nicole Smith got the crazy idea that somehow she was her. So it is great to see that Vivienne Westwood has used her as an inspiration for the latest collection.

Ralph Lauren is simply the best

It helps to be rich but you don't have to. You can still enjoy some of the magic that Ralph Lauren has created over the years. Every piece that he creates is a work of art and what I like about him is that there is always something that you can find that meets your budget. Take a peek inside the party organized to celebrate his 40 years in business.

Bra top from Yvonne Bennetti

Looks as if bra is clearly part of the outfit in spring. Now Yvonne Benneti does not even attempt to make it appear as casual or unintentional - it is the top. This is hot! Lingerie as daywear.

Agatha Ruiz de la Prada swimsuit collection

These are the photos of some of the swimsuits that we picked from the collection exhibited at Cibeles fashion week in Madrid, Spain. And again like Mena, all of these swimsuits are highly wearable to any beach.

Latest fashion from Mena

These are some of the designs that we love from MENA. The photos clearly show that it is going to be spring full of colors. These clothes are clearly wearable on a daily basis but elegant and sophisticated at the same time.

How to wear gladiator sandals?

We find these gladiator sandals simply sexy. Plus, they can be matched with many different outfits, all the way from flirty skirts to jeans to formal dresses. That is exactly what many celebrities are doing.

Sara Ramirez photos at the Emmy red carpet

We hate to judge celebrities by their dress size but the reality is that Sara Ramirez is fat. The reason we still like her is that she knows how to take advantage of her curves. Our eyes also caught her beautiful, jewel-encrusted sandals.

Emmy awards red carpet video

While the best time to watch the red carpet action is the Oscars, you can always get some idea of the latest fashion by watching other events like the Emmys apart from all the fashion shows. Contrary to what many of us consider, Emmys this year were not second-rated. The celebrities were able to get the attention of designers by managing to convince many of them to give their dresses to them.

The sari is not dead

While looking at the photos of India fashion week, I got the impression that the sari, like the kimono in Japan, was on its way out. It turns out that is not the case. While Indian women, like any other country in the world that has a good grasp of English language, have adopted western fashion, they haven't really abandoned their traditional clothes. I guess we will just get to see more exotic clothes during our next trip to India.

Bra as part of the outfit

Now this is not a look for every woman but if you look at this photo of a model presenting a look created by Caroline Charles, you will notice that the brassiere is part of the outfit. Bold and sexy. It's easy to create too.

How to dress right at the beach?

A beach vacation might seem like the perfect opportunity to let your hair down and not worry about how you look. Not correct. Of course, it is right to take it easy and not get bogged down with dress codes, but this outfit for a beach vacation from Tommy Hilfiger is just right - casual, comfortable, and trendy.

Apart from being a highly talented singer and actor, Jennifer Lopez is also a great designer. Her latest collection is called "Just Sweet" and here she is with the models who were at the launch of the label at Eyebeam in New York City.

How to wear jeans every day?

While we have a closet full of business attire, like most people in the world of media, we love to wear our jeans as often as we can get away with it. In the long run, even if you invest in a very expensive pair of jeans, they still turn out to be the most cost-effective way to be comfortable but still look trendy.

Here are two videos by Ford models (for both men and women) that show how you can wear jeans throughout the day by making slight changes as the day progresses.

Designer Stephane Rolland

If you work at Balenciaga and then at Jean-Louis Scherrer, you sure do know a little about haute couture. Yes, Stephane Rolland has an outstanding track record in the world of fashion and now he is starting out on his own. His clients come from all over but it seems that rich women in the Middle East are clamoring for his creations. Here is an excellent video portrait of him and his work.

Turkish fashion designer Ece Ege

Turkey is an exotic country. It is a country with many sides and you have to be prepared to deal with all of them. If not, you may be shocked and feel like running away. Of course, like India, Turkey is all about color and patterns and that is what Turkish designer Ece ("c" is pronouned as "h") Ege. While she studied fashion design in France, now she has moved to Turkey to be inspired by local designs and colors but still sells large to a European and Japanese clientele. Watch her interview.

Photo of Stuart Weitzman sandals with crystalsIt doesn't matter how much research you do on fashion, it changes so fast that you can barely keep up. So as professionals, both Lorena and I have enormous respect for other professionals. Expert like Laura Davis and Stephanie Rosanelli of the Newport Center, for example. Here are some of their favorite picks:

Diamonds, metallic handbags and anything else that sparkles.

Black is anything but basic.

Cocktail dresses. Leather bags. Even denim. Go for a Chloe empire waist sleeveless top and black Chloe pants to match at Neiman Marcus. Or a Diane von Furstenberg wide belt around a black wool jersey dress at Bloomingdale’s. Also, you can’t miss with supple black leather gloves with coordinating cameo bracelet at Juicy Couture. For the men, Rosanelli suggests a black Original Penguin polo shirt (think Seth on The OC or Brad Pitt) matched with a pair of dark denim Original Penguin jeans.

Your puppy had better be as primped you are. Bring the bling to Buffy with the faux crocodile collar with crystal details. Juicy offers Silverstone dog tags, t-shirts and whipstitch leather dog collars.
