Marriage is a dying institution
I know most people consider marriage as something “holy” that is to be taken very seriously. Unfortunately, young people no longer think so and not only are they living together before marriage (if they marry at all), having children out of wedlock, divorcing in every other instance, or simply do not move forward with their married life even after marrying (think Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds), and not having children. In other words, definition of marriage and family is evolving worldwide and nowhere more so than in France where the president is single (or secretly married to Carla Bruni who claims to be polyamorous). Obviously, this has huge implications for all of us in the business world in terms of how we look at our customers. Demographic changes are something to monitor very carefully.
