How to find the next astronaut?
As viewers have since found out reality television is not really real. It is not uncommon to shoot them multiple times (as is done for other filming) and the program management has a huge influence on what happens next (despite the so-called voter input). That is why morons like Sanjaya were able to stay on American Idol for that long and Sabrina Bryan was sent home so early from Dancing With The Stars. Generally speaking, though, a reasonably talented person will win and everyone is happy.
But can you select the next astronaut on television? South Korea is doing it. What’s next? Heads of state? Presidential elections are already so much about your performance on television (that is why $400 haircuts).
