Indian company provides healthcare for Americans
As I had predicted earlier in my articles on healthcare offshoring and emergence of India as a healthcare destination, IndusHealth (a company based in North Carolina) has launced a business to send thousands of American patients to medical centers in India. In addition to private physicians that will be approached for referrals, Tom Keesling, a co-founded says that “[s]ources of referrals to the IndUShealth network will eventually include corporations, insurance companies and private/state governmental health plans.”
I think there are still enormous opportunities in providing healthcare to uninsured and under-insured American residents, provided you can address their concerns and give them what they need at an affordable price. In other words, the US healthcare system has to reform to meet these new challenges.
