Starbucks for kids?

For a lot of people like me, there are not many options when it comes to buying a cup of coffee (for brewing at home, we have been trying a series of coffees at Trader Joe’s that are fair trade and 100% organic; some cost less than what you pay at Starbucks).

So should Starbucks now target kids?

A cup of black coffee without sugar does not have many calories but Starbucks sells some very unhealthy (but delicious) drinks – they are rich in sugar and fat. We already have a childhood obesity crisis and that is why I do not support any form of marketing of junk food to children. That is why advertising to kids all the wonders of hanging out at Starbucks and drinking those unhealthy drinks is a terrible idea.
