Coupons via cell phone
Junk mail (it is a huge business and marketers prefer a more sophisticated name: direct mail) is a major nuisance. For a lot of people, it clearly delivers benefits – for instance, in form of coupons, but the marketers rely on a hit and trial approach and clog the mailboxes of people like me who don’t even open any piece of mail that comes from people I do not know.
Maybe there is a better solution for junk mailers. They may be able to send coupons to people who actually want them via their cell phones. I just hope that these idiots do not start spamming the rest of us.
