Office romance is risky

Considering the amount of time we spend at work and the vacation days that we forgo, it is only natural that many of us develop a liking for someone at work. Office romance, however, is rarely a good idea. The case of Paul Wolfowitz and Shaha Riza shows that dating colleagues is very dangerous, particularly because in this case Wolfowitz did what HR managers fear the most: one party may try to help the other and thinking may become clouded, resulting in workplace disharmony.

So what can you do if you do fall in love with a coworker?

One of the partners should immediately quit. While many companies allow a transfer, I personally suggest that if your relationship is important to you, one of the partners should simply find another job.
In the meantime do not something stupid like granting favors to your partner. Office relationships can hurt both of you in that case.
